Wise 2086 Professional Tension Head adapts to all crank and all drop weight machines. In minutes, you can be stringing like the professionals. Imagine the features of the most expensive machines added to your own stringer: electronic speed control, constant pull, linear gripper, pre-stretch, digital readout and much more. String with consistency, accuracy and ease. There is no other machine like it. None.
The Wise 2086 Tension Head delivers accuracy to one tenth of a pound and uses a professional style linear gripper. The machine weighs 5.5 kg and its sturdy aluminium case is anodised gloss black for a chip-free durable finish.
This tension head is designed to convert your existing manual pull machine to a modern constant pull stringing machine. It takes only minutes to simply remove your manual tension head and clamp on this electronic head.
The gripper switch and Diablo are standard and therefore included on the current machines, version 12 which are shipped out. Version 12 2086 can pull tension as low as 15 pounds (6.85 kg) to 86 pounds (39 kg) and is suited for stringing tennis, squash, badminton and racquetball racquets. The Diablo is ideal for all strings but most specifically, multifilament and natural gut strings to reduce crushing the string in the clamp. The Diablo also reduces the stress on strings and it's included within the box.
Pre-stretch is built in with the option to set the amount you want, if applicable. At 50 pounds plus 15%, you will see the digital read-out go to 57.5 pounds, pause, then return to the set point. The Wise 2086 also allow calibration with a calibrator.
The exterior power supply can operate between 90 and 220 volts. UK cord sold with this machine - UL, CE, CB and GS approved. For customers operating outside of the UK, an adaptor will be required.
Just about all crank, basic electronic and drop weight stringing machines are suitable for conversion.
All drop weight stringing machines will require an adaptor plate, sold separately. Drilling may be required on certain drop weight machines. Great machine. For four years, I have been using my Pro`s Pro Pioneer I drop weight stringing machine and I have now upgraded it with the Wise 2086.
I just can't say how happy I am. It saves my time and it is so easy to use. It can be operated with only one hand. Before, I needed two hands with the drop weight while releasing the string from gripper.
With the Wise 2086, it does everything with a press of a button.
In future, my next upgrade will be automatic clamps and so I am just waiting for stock.
After placing an order, I got the machine delivered in only three days and I am very satisfied with all of Racquet Depot UK's service.

I used this to convert a drop-weight machine Centering / Eagnas. Easy to fit. Works smoothly and effortlessly.
The Wise 2086 puts much less strain on the string due to the diablo; no more slippage of strings through the clamp or super squashed strings. Pleasure to use.
The machine was delivered promptly the next day. I've been using it about two months for around three racquets per week.

I was using a drop weight machine for stringing badminton racquets but then decided to invest in an electronic machine, in order to do the job more precisely and save time.
I am very satisfied and also now save around 10 to 15 minutes per racquet to string and my clients are also happy as they notice a positive small difference in strings.
Highly recommended for those stringing more than 3 or 4 racquets per week.

The Wise 2086 is a very well-finished product in a compact package. The head does not need frequent calibration, and has all the bells and whistles that much more expensive heads advertise, such as multiple tightening speed and pre-stretch options. The linear pull is very smooth, and with the included Diablo makes for a very smooth stringing experience.
I also have to commend both Racquet Depot UK and the Wise representatives for their excellent after-sales service, as they dealt with a small problem I had very efficiently.
I added the optional foot-pedal for more comfort, and I'm not disappointed!
