Pro's Pro Ichiban Spin is a high-tech string made in Germany. Using a patented process, the co-polyester strands are twisted coaxial and then thermally fixed, creating a moulded surface, resulting in a much better ball spin.

Ichiban Spin features excellent retention of tension, enormous power and control.

Gauge: 1.21mm / 17
Colour: Gold

Pro's Pro Ichiban Spin 17 200M Reel strings approximately 18 racquets.

    Spin & Comfort

Posted by Paul on 16th Mar 2016

I am a 4.5 player and have a semi-western forehand with lots of spin. I strung it on a Wilson RF Autograph at 53 pounds. After the first hour of session time, the tension dropped by around 10%. After the second, it dropped by 20% and it stayed this way until the strings broke after around six hours of playing time. All tension measurements were done by the ERT 300 tennis computer and the string performed the durability on average for a polyester. The great difference was the amount of spin this string produces, that was almost impossible to hit a ball long no matter how strong I tried. This string is extremely soft on the arm and no movement was observed, until the last minute before the string broke. At this price too, it will be my string from now on.

    Good String for its Purpose

Posted by Unknown on 27th Jun 2014

Ichiban 17 is very good at its purpose. It produces a good amount of spin, has decent control and a fair bit of power. It lacks in touch and feel but that is to be expected from a poly. In comparison to Babolat RPM Blast, it's much, much softer and much more playable.  In comparison to Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour, it's a bit harsher on the arm and has a slightly less control but produces more spin. If you're looking for a spin / control string, I recommend it. Strung in a Wilson BLX Six.One Tour at 46lb - full bed.
