Works well for what I use it for: as a starting clamp and for tightening knots. Not sure what the more expensive ones do better but I only string for myself so I wouldn't know any better.

Racquet Depot UK advised that the difference between this one and the much more expensive Babolat or Gamma version is that this one here lacks the diamond coating which improves grip. So I could imagine that this one here as slightly less gripping power. It works fine for me though and as I am only stringing for myself I think I made the right choice.
By the way, I really enjoy having a starter clamp, it makes stringing a lot more enjoyable, there are good videos on YouTube about its uses. Get one!
